DayZ is a hardcore open-world survival game developed by Bohemia Interactive. Set in the post-Soviet region of Chernarus after an unknown virus turns much of the population into aggressive infected, the game challenges players to survive against infected creatures, environmental dangers, limited resources, and other survivors.

Unlike traditional shooters, DayZ does not give players a simple path to follow. Survival depends on exploration, resource management, careful decision-making, and interactions with other players. Death can mean losing the equipment and progress collected during a life, making every encounter potentially important.

DayZ combines survival mechanics with first-person shooting and open-world exploration. Players begin with very limited supplies and must search the environment for food, water, clothing, medical items, weapons, ammunition, and other equipment.Keeping the character alive is the main objective.
