Dragon Age: Inquisition is played from a third-person perspective and combines real-time action combat with tactical strategy, exploration, and role-playing elements. At the beginning of the game, players create a custom Inquisitor by choosing their race, class, appearance, and background, with each choice influencing dialogue, relationships, and certain story events.Players can choose from three primary classes: Warrior, Rogue, and Mage. Each class features unique skill trees, abilities, and combat styles. Warriors excel in close-range combat and defense, Rogues specialize in stealth, dual weapons, and archery, while Mages wield powerful elemental and support magic capable of turning the tide of battle.

Combat allows players to freely control their character in real time or pause the action using the Tactical Camera to issue commands to party members, position allies strategically, and coordinate devastating attacks. Building a balanced team is essential, as each companion brings unique abilities and personalities to the adventure.The game features a vast open world divided into diverse regions, including lush forests, snowy mountains, deserts, swamps, castles, ancient ruins, and bustling cities.
